Personalized meal plan for every lifestyle

How Does Meal Plan Delivery Work in Dubai?

Meal plan delivery works as a simple subscription. You choose a plan and calorie target, the kitchen cooks and portions your meals fresh each morning, and they arrive at your door before you wake up. You then reheat, eat, and adjust the plan over time. Here is how each step works.

The appeal is that it removes the daily decisions that quietly derail healthy eating in Dubai. Once a plan is set up, there is no shopping, no cooking, and no calorie maths. This guide walks through the customer experience from sign-up to delivery to managing the plan day to day.

Step 1: Choose Your Plan

The first step is picking a plan that matches your goal. PrepHero runs 11 named plans, including Weight Loss, Muscle Gain, Calorie Control, PCOS, Diabetic, Mums, Vegetarian, Pescatarian, Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free, and Business Lunch. You select the one that fits, set a calorie target, and decide how many meals and snacks you want each day.

The minimum order is one meal and one snack a day, which starts from AED 45. From there, the plan scales with how many meals and snacks you add, and every meal is a flat AED 26. Because the per-meal price is fixed, the cost of a plan is easy to work out in advance: you are paying for the number of meals you choose, with no tiers or hidden charges.

If you are not sure how many meals to start with, a common approach is to cover the meals you most often skip or buy out, usually lunch on a working day, and build up from there. PrepHero's in-house nutritionists can help set your calorie target and your starting point, which is useful if you have a specific goal in mind or a condition such as PCOS or diabetes to manage.

Step 2: Select and Customise Your Meals

Once your plan is set, meals are drawn from a rotating menu of more than 550 dishes, so you are not eating the same thing every week. You manage meal selection in the PrepHero app, where every dish lists its calories, protein, carbs, and fat.

Customisation is part of the process. Ingredient preferences and dislikes are accommodated, and allergens can be omitted on request. The kitchen is shared and handles common allergens, so cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed. Anyone with a severe allergy should contact the team before ordering. This is worth sorting at sign-up so every delivery suits you from the start.

Step 3: Meals Are Cooked Fresh Each Morning

PrepHero meals are chef-made fresh every morning, never frozen. Each meal is portioned to match its stated calories and macros, sealed, and labelled before being sent out. Because the food is made fresh daily rather than in bulk, what reaches you was cooked that same morning.

This is the part of the process the customer never sees, but it is the reason the food on your plate stays close to how the dish was intended. Fresh production means nothing sits in storage waiting to be shipped, and it is why meals arrive tasting like a proper meal rather than something reheated from a freezer.

Step 4: Delivery to Your Door

Meals are delivered fresh each morning, free of charge, across all 7 emirates: Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, and Fujairah.

Dubai's climate makes early delivery sensible. From May through October, daytime temperatures regularly exceed 40°C, so meals are designed to be delivered before the heat builds and then refrigerated promptly. If you are not home when the delivery arrives, move the meals into the fridge as soon as you can.

Step 5: Eat and Reheat

Meals arrive ready to refrigerate, not to eat straight from the bag. When you are ready for a meal, reheat it thoroughly. In the UAE's heat, prompt refrigeration and proper reheating are the two habits that keep meals at their best.

Portion sizes sometimes surprise people at first. A planned meal can look smaller than a typical restaurant serving because restaurant portions are usually far larger than a calorie target requires. The figures on the label are accurate, and most people find their appetite adjusts within the first few days.

Step 6: Manage and Adjust the Plan

A meal plan is not fixed. You manage and adjust yours in the PrepHero app, which also includes calorie and weight tracking so you can follow your progress as a trend rather than a single daily number.

As your goals or routine change, the plan can change too. You can adjust meals and targets in the app, and the in-house nutritionists can help recalibrate the plan over time, for example when weight loss slows or training increases.

Step 7: Pausing Your Plan

Life in Dubai is not always predictable. Travel, work trips, and changes in routine all happen. PrepHero plans can be paused for up to 40 days, so you do not pay for meals you will not be home to eat. Pausing is managed through the app, alongside the rest of your plan.

Common Questions About Meal Plan Delivery

How early do meals arrive?

Meals are delivered fresh each morning, ahead of the working day, across all 7 emirates. Delivery is free. Because meals are made fresh daily, what arrives was cooked that same morning.

Why do meals arrive cold?

Meals are designed to be refrigerated and then reheated, not eaten straight from the bag. Arriving chilled is intentional and keeps the food safe. Refrigerate them promptly and reheat thoroughly before eating.

Can you change your meals each week?

Yes. Meals come from a rotating menu of more than 550 dishes, and you manage selection in the PrepHero app. Ingredient preferences and dislikes are accommodated, and allergens can be omitted on request.

What happens if you go away?

PrepHero plans can be paused for up to 40 days through the app, so you are not paying for meals while you travel or your routine changes. The plan resumes when you are ready.
